In a collaborative effort with Vebro Polymers, MJF was handpicked by The Social Hub in Glasgow to oversee the meticulous preparation and seamless installation of 800m2 of Vebroflex Comfort UV.
This encompassed not only the physical execution but also comprehensive planning and coordination to ensure the project's success.

Challenges and solutions
Due to the moisture content within the substrate we had to incorporate 2 coats of Vebro EP DPM Primer prior to installation of Vebroflex Comfort. DPM primers are used when working with substrates that have a moisture content above 75%RH, DPM primer is designed to prevent vapor rising from the substrate which in turn reduces risk of delamination of floor coverings.
Whilst DPM are somewhat standard practice in many flooring installations, it was a further challenge on this project due to the extremely tight timeframe The Social Hub had to complete flooring works. However, our in-house team worked around the clock on staggered shifts to ensure we delivered on time.
Works were carried out over the Christmas holidays with temperatures dropping down to zero, working alongside The Social Hub, we installed temporary heating ensuring site temperatures were consistent around 15-20 degrees throughout all stages of the project from preparation to final application and curing stages. This again is vital to make sure the Vebroflex Comfort floor is installed correctly- maximising the future performance of the specified system.
Project Outcomes
MJF SSSTS supervisors were consistently present, collaborating with our team of highly skilled workers, each equipped with NVQ Level 2 qualifications in resin flooring preparation and installation.
This collective expertise guaranteed a seamlessly smooth, high-quality, and professional experience for the client, evident in the superior floor quality, durability, and aesthetic appeal achieved.
